Terms of Use & Subscriber License

Last updated: October 30, 2026 · DRAFT — to be reviewed by counsel before launch

The short version: Your ParcelBrief subscription is a personal, single-user license. You may use the content for your own work. You may not copy, forward, post, or redistribute ParcelBrief content to people who aren't licensed. Every brief is watermarked and traceable to your account — if licensed content shows up where it shouldn't, we can tell whose account it came from, and we may suspend that account.

1. What you're getting

ParcelBrief provides plain-English summaries of publicly available building-code and construction-law changes, with links to the official free source. It is an information service — not legal or code advice, and not a substitute for the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) or qualified counsel.

2. Your license

3. Content is watermarked and traceable

Briefs, emails and pages are personalized and carry identifiers tied to your account. If ParcelBrief content is redistributed in violation of these terms, we can generally identify the source account. Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund, in addition to any other remedy available to us.

4. Our content

ParcelBrief's plain-English summaries, organization, and guides are our original work and are protected by copyright. We do not reproduce copyrighted code text — we link you to the official free source. Your license to our content ends when your subscription ends.

5. Accuracy, "as-of" dating, and no advice

Content is compiled from public sources and dated "as of." Codes and laws change and vary by jurisdiction. Always confirm the controlling edition, amendments and effective dates with your AHJ and qualified counsel before relying on anything. ParcelBrief is provided "as is," without warranty, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on the content. "Watch — verify" items are not final law.

6. Billing & cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; we'll remind you before a renewal. Founding-partner (ENR) offers do not auto-charge. [Refund terms to be set.]

7. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified. Questions: [contact email].

This is a draft starter document, not legal advice, and must be reviewed and finalized by qualified counsel before ParcelBrief launches. Bracketed items are placeholders for Ryan/counsel to complete (contact, refund terms, governing law, entity name).
